no secondary class ftw
So i was thinking that it would be fun to go in with four people with no secondary professions; which is generally considered to be noobish, but see if there's a legitimate build that can be created. here's what i've got - any and all help would be greatly appreciated, just keep your comments positive.
Ele 12+3+1 air; 12+1 en. storage
Lightning Orb
Lightning Strike
Enervating Charge
Lightning Javeline
Blinding Flash
{e} Elemental Attunement
Air Attunement
Rez Sig
War 12+3+1 Hammer; 12+1 strength
{e} Backbreaker
Crushing Blow
Mighty Blow
Hammer Bash
Power Attack
Frenzy
Sprint
Rez Sig
Monk
12+3+1 Smite; 11+1 Prot; 5+1 Divine
{e} Air of Enchantment
Reversal of Fortune
Guardian
Prot Spirit or Spirit Bond
Mend Condition
Smite Hex
Zealots Fire
Rez Sig
Monk
12+3+1 Divine; 12+1 Prot
Reversal of Fortune
Guardian
Mending Touch
{e} Zealots Benediction
Signet of Devotion
Contemplation of Purity
Divine Boon
Rez Sig
I guess it would have to be pretty well coordinated, but the ele should be blinding away, while spamming damage spells on soft targets while the war builds adreneline, then both will spike the monk. the war with 5 second+ solid kd can take out a monk, but spikes from ele will help. Also, aoe monk should be smiting of the war primarily, but can also help out with protecting as well. The boon-prot monk is a build i've thought about, but have yet to try-i dont' have nightfall anyway, zealots benediction seems sick, and is a free monster heal if you use it right, and with the help of air of enchantment, i'm hoping those two elites should take care of energy management for the bp monk. and mending touch seems sick
i know the war and ele can do enough damage if they work together (as any good team should). and spamming weakness + blind ftw.
in all seriousness, i think this build could be decent - but mostly it's sweet b/c no one has a secondary profession, which makes it leet in its own special way.

All the players are using sub-optimal builds for the sole purpose of having no secondary. If that makes you happy, run with it. But I'd rather have a better build using secondaries and garner "leet"ness from winning.

first of all, not all of them are using sub-optimal builds. aoe smite monks for the most part dont use any skills from secondary proffessions. of course it could be made slightly better, but there's room for improvement in everything... and considering it DOESN'T have any 2ndary profs, it's pretty good.
another thing, would you rather beat a team, or beat a team while not using secondary professoins. come one, which is more hardcore.
in all seriousness though, how can i make this build better? constructive critisizm ftw

i see where your coming from with the "1337-ness" of having no secondarys.. but at the same time, if im PvP'ing id rather not use my secondary skill and have a random secondry to throw people off. such as:
when you see an E/Mo standing on backline you assume its a heal party extinguish spammer, but when you get close, its a E/- Starburster
it only take 2 seconds of build confusion to get a kill

true, we could throw ppl off, but then again, you go load TA to find the other team has an E, W, Mo, and Mo... wtf??? could throw them off that way too.

I think a step up to this is to make your build spell something else. Like:- "EWWW" build (1 ele, 3 warriors)
- "PWND" build (Paragon, Warrior, Necro, Dervish)
- "RAPE" build (Ranger, sin, paragon, ele)
- "NEWD" build
etc...

yeah i totally agree with this.when im running my ranger build i solely use ranger skills.i do however like to slip neccy as a secondary in there as no one bothers rangers much as it is and certainly not if its a touchy.puts blind ele's off too.
